Bhaluban (1520m / 4987ft)

Bhaluban is one of the best-kept secrets of the Manaslu Trekking route. The village is 25 minutes northwest of Jagat. The clean village of Bhaluban is also used as a route to Dudhpokhari. The Village offers an ideal reflection of the Nepali lifestyle throughout Nepal's hillsides. 

Bhaluban is a small village, but a short hike through the lush green forest and engineering marvel suspension bridges along the way makes it one of the Manaslu Circuit or Manaslu Base Camp trek destinations.

Rupina La Pass (4,720m / 15,485ft)

As an adventurer looking to explore the Manaslu Circuit uniquely, you might consider taking a detour to Rupina La Pass in southeastern Gorkha. This hidden gem, often described as a trek within a trek, offers an exhilarating experience through challenging terrain and breathtaking alpine vistas.

The trek starts in Arughat, following the classic Manaslu Circuit route until you reach Ghap. From there, you will change direction and head east towards Rupina La Pass. The pinnacle of your adventure awaits as you ascend to the formidable Rupina La Pass, reaching an altitude of 4,720 meters (15,486 feet). The breathtaking views from the top will leave you in awe.

After conquering Rupina La Pass, you will descend into the enchanting Tsum Valley, rejoining the classic Manaslu Circuit at Lokpa. It's a seamless transition back to the well-trodden path, with memories of your thrilling adventure lingering in your mind.

Ganesh Himal Base Camp (3,691m / 12,140ft)

You can also enjoy a trip to Ganesh Himal Base Camp starting from the quaint village of Shertung, known for its rich cultural heritage rooted in the Tamang traditions. Along the way, you will hike through lush forests, terraced fields, and picturesque hamlets, gradually ascending towards the Ganesh Himal Base Camp.

This trek is more than just a walk through stunning landscapes; it offers an opportunity to discover the warm-hearted communities of Shertung and Chalish, inhabited by Tamang and Gurung people.
