After a short rest in Gorekshep, you'll make the final push to Everest Base Camp itself (5,364m/17,598ft)! This is the culmination of your incredible journey. Take your time, soak it all in, and celebrate this momentous occasion at the foot of the world's highest mountain! You'll then return to Gorekshep for your overnight stay.
Today, you'll hike for a sunrise view to Kalapatthar (5,545m/18,192ft), the highest point of your trek, offering unparalleled panoramic views of Everest and the Himalayas. After soaking in the scenery, you'll descend to Pheriche (4,252m/13,950ft), a significant drop that aids in readjusting to lower altitudes.
Today, you'll trek from Pheriche (4,252m/13,950ft) back down to Namche Bazaar (3,446m/11,306ft). This 806m/2,644ft descent will be a welcome relief as you readjust to a lower altitude after your time at Everest Base Camp. Enjoy the familiar trails and the changing perspective as you descend.
